1. What is Multicultural Metamorphosis?

Multicultural Metamorphosis provides sober living and transitional housing for formerly incarcerated men, offering structured support for reentry, recovery, and independence.

2. Who is eligible to stay at Usama’s House?

Guests must be drug and alcohol-free, willing to follow house rules, and actively working toward employment, education, or treatment programs.

3. How long can I stay in the program?

The length of stay varies based on compliance, participation, and progress toward independence.

4. Is there a blackout period upon arrival?

Yes, there may be a blackout period of up to 30 days with limited privileges, depending on individual circumstances.

Sobriety & Drug Testing

5. Do I need to stay drug- and alcohol-free?

Yes. Drug and alcohol use is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate discharge.

6. Are drug tests required?

Yes. Random drug tests can be requested at any time. Failure to comply within one hour is considered a positive test.

7. What happens if I fail a drug test?

A positive test results in immediate discharge, and the incident is reported to your Parole or Probation Officer if applicable.

8. What is the Naloxone training requirement?

All guests must complete electronic Naloxone training within 72 hours of admission.

House Rules & Expectations

9. Are there curfews?

Yes. Curfew is 10 PM (Sunday–Friday) and 12 AM (Saturday) unless pre-approved by the house manager.

10. Can I have visitors?

No. Visitors are not allowed inside the house or on the premises.

11. Can I have overnight stays?

Overnights are prohibited for the first 30 days. After that, requests must be submitted 72 hours in advance for approval.

12. Are weapons allowed?

No. Weapons (guns, knives, ammo, etc.) are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate discharge.

13. Can I smoke inside the house?

No. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.

14. What are the expectations for cleanliness?

No food, trash, or dirty dishes left in rooms.

Beds must be made, and rooms cleaned daily before leaving.

Chores are assigned daily and must be completed.

Employment & Daily Responsibilities

15. Do I need to have a job or be in school?

Yes. All guests must be employed, actively seeking work, or enrolled in an educational program.

16. What if I don’t have a job yet?

If unemployed, you must actively job search Monday–Friday from 9 AM–2 PM and provide proof if requested.

17. What happens if I don’t follow the house rules?

Minor infractions will result in progressive disciplinary actions.

Major rule violations (e.g., violence, substance use, weapons) result in immediate discharge.

Program Fees & Personal Property

18. Are program fees refundable?

No. All fees are non-refundable.

19. Do I have tenant rights?

No. This is a program, not a rental agreement. Failure to follow rules results in immediate discharge without notice.

20. What happens to my belongings if I leave?

You must take all personal belongings upon departure. Left-behind items may be disposed of or donated.
